Pastor Jerry D. Hovater has been in full time ministry for over 28 years. His driving passion is developing churches with a “Holy Wild” attitude, knowing that most Christians suffer from “stinkin’ thinkin!” His challenging preaching appeals to those who he culturally embraces. In Texas, those would be the cowboys, the bikers and the gearheads. The way we look at it, Pastor Jerry is the president of the 4-H club...“Horses, Harleys, Hotrods and emptying Hell!!!

Camp Holy Wild is a 110 acre ranch with the capacity to sleep over 200 people. The ranch is complete with a horse arena, three church chapels, a 300 foot zip line, rock wall and a 50 foot tall swing. There’s also an Olympic sized pool, where we baptize off the water slide…we call it the “Bapti-slide!”

Because of our growth after eight years, we’ve started a service in Highlands, commonly known as the South Campus. South Campus is meeting at the Sterling White Chapel at 8:30, as plans are being developed for a new church off Highway 90. Our North Campus service is held at Camp Holy Wild in New Caney at 10:30. People are coming from all over to a funeral home chapel or driving down a dirt road into the unknown woods to hear Pastor Jerry, an anointed man of God. That is no accident! Pastor Jerry, now 50, and his wife Lori, have five children, ten horses and a dog named Max. Life is NEVER dull at The Little Country Church!
